A lot of people are ragging on the new show and what they don’t seem to get is that we’ll essentially have TWO Top Gear shows to watch! The Amazon one with the original cast and this one. Twice as much high-quality automotive content. I couldn’t be happier.

I’ll say it: It looks enjoyable!

We’ll see what happens come May, since it’s hard to get a feel for their on-camera personalities from this clip. But it does look entertaining, at least.

I see they retained much of the filming and editing crew. Vette vs ACR fight is neat. Finally, Paul Ricard on a TV show, and in the right car. Comes with one Sabine Schmitz and Recombu Cars bloke (latter for regular reviews). LEGO Stig, real Stig.

I’ll watch the entire season. And I come well-equipped to turn back the hate train. Come at ME, y’all.

I will watch too, especially as there are at least two, maybe three people on that cast that I really want to succeed. Here’s hoping the chemistry isn’t way off.

I don’t think anyone ever doubted the formula behind the Top Gear would change much. Then again, I watch the original TG, and not the USA TG - although they have the same formula, I just can’t connect with the presenters. That will be their hardest challenge with the new TG.
